Hello guys, HellaHell here. The new update today doesn't really include any new content but is an important step forward in the development of S3D League. Version 0.7.1 is actually an engine update from Unity 4 to Unity 5. I had to do a lot of changes just to make the game runs properly again on the newer engine. However, this upgrade allowed me to make some nice changes such as: adding smoother shadows in the game and making the TV screens on the maps actually showing the camera view. There are still some sound effect issues left to solve though. But anyway, the main reason for the engine update was actually the web version of the game. The web player plugin which the game uses is slowly becoming obsolete. Due to security reasons, some browsers are dropping the support for the protocol that the web player uses. However, there is an alternative. WebGL is going to be supported by modern browsers and unlike the web player, it doesn't require to be installed to work. The downside is, WebGL is very resource intensive and the game may not work as smooth as the web player. For this reason I am going to keep both versions running for a while, so you can play the one that works best for you, but if you want to have a full control over the performance and the graphic quality, your best bet is to play the downloadable version instead. As a last note, you may notice that both of the web versions are lacking some of the maps. Due to server space limitations, I was forced to cut down most of the maps from these versions. The downloadable version still includes all of the maps made so far. Let me know in the comments if you are experiencing any issues with the new versions. This is all for now. See you later.
